I found a new respect for the Jonas Brothers yesterday. And it wasn’t just because I was secretly indulging in watching Camp Rock. They have managed to release four relatively good albums (hey, at least they can play instruments); their voices are good, their songs catchy, their acting not-that-spotty. They have accomplished a lot in a short time. Plus, finishing school while on tour sounds painful to me.
and then I realized that the two oldest are my age. Well, I’m actually born in the year right between the two, but you get the point. It made me pause for a minute and realize something completely unrelated–I need to start working out. No seriously. They look so… young. and I mean, let’s face it, so do I, but not in the same way.
But anyway, my point here is that in this new found respect I decided to look up some videos of them and see if it was a fluke on my part (it’s not), and I found something that makes me want to hang out with them for a day–just because I could actually be completely off-the-wall goofy around them and I think they’d understand, and maybe participate.
Ladies and gents, here is a remarkably entertaining video for you.
In conclusion, I am sorry for being a music snob for even a little bit. Anyone who can do that and not only retain his dignity but laugh about it, is one to be truly liked. Besides, the fact that they are all talented and adorable helps. Have a lovely day!
and while I’m thinking about it, I’ve decided that Demi Lovato reminds me of Kelly Clarkson… and you can’t deny that they both have good voices, with just a bit of rock-and-roll thrown in.
p.s. I am nowhere near being a music snob normally. Ask Philip (he is); he often wishes I were a bit more of one
